Three times I stressed out our PM team (In the pursuit of product transformation)
Last year at this summit, Jaime McFarland, VP of Design at Airtable, talked about using AI to “equip teams to transcend traditional silos.” Then she had to go live it. This summer, Airtable took a bold step to refound the company as an AI-native platform—requiring the team to transform, not iterate, in record time. Jaime will share three pivotal moments where her team deliberately broke organizational norms to accelerate their AI transformation. What happens when there’s no time to do things “the right way”. These weren’t process failures—they were calculated risks that required leading with vision and data under extreme time pressure, even when it meant pivoting from their own best practices. Attendees will gain insights through the unique lens of a design-oriented product leader on making operational tradeoffs at transformation speed, trusting instincts when there isn’t time for more traditional market research, and distinguishing user wants from needs when shipping controversial changes.
